He has played major-label master sessions for legendary producers like Paul Worley, James Stroud, Don Cook, Blake Chancey, Kyle Lehning, Chuck Howard, and Ron Chancey, and can be heard on hit singles like Randy Travis's #1 "Three Wooden Crosses", Jason Aldean's #1 hit "Why", and Billy Currington's #1 “Good Directions”

Smith not only played on our tracks but was instrumental (excuse the pun) in us contacting Jimmy Carter (bass) & Brittini B. (vocals) also located in Nashville.
He has been great with advice and assistance and we have also utilised his studio for recording vocals.

Kingsford Smith is honoured to have such an accomplished artist working with them.

CHRIS BRUSH    - Drums & Percussion

Chris moved to Nashville, TN from Dallas, TX in 1999 and got in as a session player on some small demo sessions and did some weekend gigs here and there. It took him about a year-and-a-half to make enough connections to get on the road full time. He started getting more work, and while playing on some great records, was mainly was a live guy. He toured, played one-offs, etc. largely until around 2008.

At that point, feeling he was getting enough recording work that he made a more conscious effort to shift focus toward remaining in Nashville and becoming a more full-time session player. Noticing the trend to embrace home studios and started acquiring gear so he could record drums at his home studio for clients if they didn’t have the budget for a bigger session in town. Simultaneously,  started building a private studio from scratch with a partner to record full projects or drum overdubs in a unique, no-compromise, multi-room environment with an emphasis on tonal experimentation and unbridled creativity called  “PlethoraTone,”
When not out and about recording, He's at PlethoraTone either playing sessions, mixing, or producing.

Chris got an instant hand on our vision and provided great drum tracks, with killer tones right off the bat! Working with him was so easy.
We didn't source Chris through the network of players that we were developing in Nashville, but we really hit the jackpot with his talent and his purpose build studio and he gave us great flexibility with his tracks in the studio.

As far as we are concerned, he is our permanent session drummer from here on in!

TROY ENGLE - Fiddle, Pedal Steel & Banjo

Troy is a Grammy nominated singer, songwriter, studio musician, and composer.  He has performed with Patty Loveless, Buddy Jewell, The Isaacs, Larry Sparks, and many other great country, bluegrass, and gospel acts.  Troy’s compositions have been heard on shows like Pawn Stars, American Pickers, and Last Call with Carson Daly.  He has played on recordings by Tom T. Hall, Buddy Jewell, Michael Martin Murphey, and the list continues!

He has been playing the part of Rayna James’ pedal steel player on the hit ABC show “Nashville!”

Troy also caught our vision quickly & delivered the perfect tracks for us, a down to earth, humble guy also a pleasure to deal with. When we received his parts back we were amazed at his phrasing and skill. Just another instance where by we are blessed. Thanks Troy!
JIMMY CARTER (not the president) - Bass Guitar

Jimmy is quintessential session pro, one of Nashville’s most sought-after bassists. His artistry has been heard through a variety of media all over the world. If you’ve listened to the radio, gone to the movies, watched a television show or commercial, there’s a good chance that you may have heard Jimmy’s creative skill in action

His great reputation led him to work in the studio with renowned artists such as Toni Braxton, Dierks Bentley, Tim McGraw, Alan Jackson, Dustin Lynch, George Jones, Nancy Sinatra, Jerry Lee Lewis, he has added his touch to many #1’s including those from Easton Corbin, Dierks Bentley, Alan Jackson, and Clay Walker. It seems whatever he's involved in does well, You could say he's our good luck charm and/or mascot if you will!

We first noticed Jimmy in a post on Smith Curries Facebook page. There was a picture of him recording in a studio and the way he held his bass guitar we knew straight away he knew what he was doing, so we got his contact details and booked him without looking at anyone else. One of the best decisions we've ever made!

Jimmy played on our tracks Friday Night & Countrified, he kept sending us messages saying "Ive got some ideas but i just want to make sure there perfect!". I
m paraphrasing but there was no way we were going to get anything from him until he was 110% with his work. And what we got was amazing! He is a genuine guy, and drops a message every now and again to see how we are doing.

In idle conversation we asked if he could recommend a guitarist and he did, enter Brent below
BRENT MASON - Guitar

Brent Mason is one of the most recorded guitarists in history!
He is a Grammy Award winner, a 12 time winner of the Academy of Country Music (ACM) Guitarist of the Year Award, and a two-time winner of the CMA Award Musician of the Year. He has been named as one of the top ten session guitarists in the world, joining the ranks of Jimmy Page, Larry Carlton, Tommy Tedesco and Steve Cropper. Brent has played on well over a thousand albums and continues to add to this extensive resume. He has also released two of his own albums, produced a number of artists, and holds several credits as a songwriter.

Impressive Bio, but we were totally ignorant to just how great a guitarist he is. So Jimmy Carter gave us his email address and we emailed him.
Now remember, we have no clue as to just how good he was and went purely from Jimmys recommendations. It took a while to get a response, we almost gave up.
But we did in the end and Brent was happy to do his thing for us. Suffice to say his "Thing" was better than we could have ever imagined or hoped for!

We got the tracks back very quickly and just cried with joy! To this day we listen back to what he did for us and it still seems unbelievable!

It wasn't until we gave him our songs to play tat we looked him up, this guy has played with everyone!
Alan Jackson, Alabama, Josh Turner, The Chipmunks, David Gates, Brooks & Dunn, George Strait, Neil Diamond, Rascall Flatts, Dolly Parton, George Jones, Randy Travis, Travis Tritt, Lorrie Morgan, Brad Paisley, Clint Black, Merle Haggard, Vince Gill, Shelby Lynn, Tanya Tucker, Keith Whitley, Natalie Cole, Trace Adkins, Terri Clark, Shania Twain, Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, Reba McEntire, The Judds, LeeAnn Womack, Willie Nelson, Toby Keith, Martina McBride, Trisha Yearwood and many many more...
